In a step to further advance robotic process automation (RPA), industry leader UiPath has introduced the next generation of its UiPath Automation Platform on November 17.

As the new platform features new low-code capabilities, it brings both power and simplicity by transforming RPAs from automating specific tasks to designing and creating business applications. Expanded cloud deployment options further support the faster implementation of robotics-based applications. UiPath continues its vision of a "Robot for Every Person" by empowering employees to work with robots and take part in the growing automation process with the next-generation automation platform.

"We believe democratization of automation is at the forefront of any successful digital transformation strategy, said UiPath Chief Product Officer Param Kahlon in a statement. He also added that while end-user-created solutions isn't new, entire organizations that understand seamless automation with low-code tools is.

Kahlon also said that with more than a hundred end-user driven features in their platform, UiPath continues to deliver "Day One Value" to its customers expanding their respective automation initiatives for efficiency, responsiveness, and resilience.

UiPath Apps: Combining the Power of Automation and Ease of Low-Code

The RPA software company also introduced UiPath Apps, a web-based drag-and-drop business application that allows developers to design and deploy enterprise-grade automation applications. Its applications range from a single form in a brief automation requirement to multi-screen, interactive services running on different automation platforms.

UiPath also removes the restrictions in achieving a seamless human-machine interface experience. For example, building the app on a number of cloud-based and on-premise applications like ERP and CRM and legacy non-API systems, allow for a virtually unlimited number of designs and applications.

"By making automation both easier and faster to deploy, UiPath Apps has the capability of significantly improving some of the most costly and time-consuming activities of the modern enterprise," said UiPath Co-Founder and CEO Daniel Dines. He explained that automation itself becomes the application that allows employees to directly interact with robots instead of going through different programs and databases with the app.

Dines added: "This is just one example of how we will continue to make bold moves in building a scalable, enterprise-ready platform that helps customers become fully automated enterprises."

Improving Its Automation Cloud Services

UiPath has also announced its new Data Service where users can store their design and business data in the UiPath Platform - allowing it to be accessible through any UiPath programs and platforms, like UiPath Apps.

Additionally, their existing clients using the software-as-a-service (SaaS) Automation Cloud get to instantly enjoy additional management options, data storage, and low-code apps. All updates will arrive scaled for every two weeks. Further reassuring its clients of top-notch, enterprise-grade data security,

UiPath also announced that its Automation Cloud has attained System and Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2), Type 1 Certification - a technical audit for companies that seek to offer cloud-based solutions and manage against security threats.

UiPath also offers new options for the provision, management, and optimization of their cloud-based robots, which allow users to scale them up and down depending on their requirement projections.

In short, customers only get to pay for UiPath's cloud-based solutions when the robots on-premise are used and generate results for the company.
