Uploading a YouTube video is currently default to 15 minutes. However, there's still a way for you to post videos that are up to 12 hours longer.
To do this in a desktop browser, you need to visit YouTube's verification page and log in using your account, as reported by Business Insider. After you do that, you must follow the instructions or steps to verify your account.
Once you properly followed the guide, you will receive a verification code via your mobile device. The message will either be an automated voice call or a text message.
Once your account is verified, you can now upload videos longer than 15 minutes.
Posting long YT videos on a mobile app
Verifying your YouTube account on iPhone and Android devices is the same. All you need to do is open your app and click the "Plus" sign which is located at the bottom of your screen.
Tap the "Upload a video" option. After that, you need to choose a video in your gallery that is more than 15 minutes. You need to create a channel if it is the first time you'll upload a video.
Enter the needed details then click "next." Answer the questions that will pop-up on your screen. After that, you need to verify your Google account via a verification code or an automated voice call, just like in a desktop browser.
