It seems like a Tesla toolbox diagnostic tester was leaked online and although it looks very real, there are still questions regarding its legitimacy. Is this particular leak reliable or could it be a hoax?

According to an alleged Tesla Engineer who posted something on the popular InsideEVsForum, the Tesla toolbox diagnostic tester is said to be used for Tesla vehicle diagnosis fault scanning as well as firmware update and Coding Flash Programming. The toolbox is said to be updatable and through these updates, in time can be able to service even the latest Tesla models.

There was even a list of models that this particular Tesla toolbox diagnostic tester is allegedly able to service which includes the Tesla Model 3, Tesla Model X, Tesla Model S, Tesla Model Y, the Tesla Cybertruck, and even the Tesla Roadster. The leak then goes on to detail other components that are allegedly included within the Tesla toolbox diagnostic tester.

A particular Reddit post by u/Tesla-engineer showed visuals regarding the Tesla toolbox diagnostic tester and what it looks like with the text "Bao Chi Super Luxury Car Service Center" marked on top of the given photos. The information, however, is still not enough to determine as to whether this leak is actually the real deal.

Who is the Tesla leaker?

On the InsideEVsForum page, however, there is very limited information with regards to the author of this leak. Although there is no given picture on the leaker's profile, there are a few things that might say a few things about the alleged "Tesla-Engineer".

According to the website, the leaker is a 34 year old Male and who has only recently joined the forum on October 27 while the leak happened just recently. This means that the leaker was already a member for a month before leaking the alleged Tesla toolbox diagnostic tester.
