The Game Awards producer Geoff Keighley confirmed a new "Among Us" map, which will be revealed during the event on December 10.

'Among Us': New Map Will Soon Be Revealed

In his tweet on December 2, Keighley who is also the Game Awards host said that "Among Us" developer InnerSloth confirmed the reveal of the new map. According to Comic Book, new deceptions and tasks that come with the new level will also be revealed during the event.

"It's true: Get your first look at the new @AmongUsGame map live during #TheGameAwards next Thursday," said Keighley on his tweet with an attached image of the upcoming new map. The event will be live streamed for free at thegameawards.com.

The reveal for the highly anticipated map follows after creators InnerSloth released teasers about it. Back in November, the official Twitter account of the "Among Us" game has already shown the new map.

"Get all the news, peeks, and fun shenanigans here and become a part of the crew. Here's a special look at the NEW Among Us map!" the tweet wrote urging players not to show it to impostors.

Tech Times reported that InnerSloth has been developing a fourth map, which was already shown in public on November 19. When the game updates were released on November 24, details about the new map were not included.

Despite these teasers, "Among Us" fans will have a better understanding and a more comprehensive look of the new map once it was officially revealed during the event. Aside from the layout of the map, some of the tasks included in the new level will also be shown during the event. In the earlier leaks, it is said that the new map will be larger than Polus while the new tasks will be different from those previously taken in the other maps.

'Among Us' bigger map, more tasks

When the new map is revealed on December 10, players will have a brand new level to play and more tasks and deceptions to be completed.  What does a bigger map mean for "Among Us" game?

As Screen Rant said, the new map is said to be larger than Polus and it is advantageous for the game because it supports other popular games that are larger in size. This would allow having more Impostors within a session. Also, a bigger map would accommodate the new tasks mentioned in the patch notes in the recent update log.

'Among Us' nominations in The Game Awards

"Among Us" has been nominated for two categories: the Best Multiplayer Game and Best Mobile Game. Although it is going against huge games like "Genshin Impact," "Call of Duty: Mobile," "Call of Duty: Warzone," and "Legends of Runeterra," its success this year gives "Among Us" a good winning chance.

Fans may cast their votes on The Game Awards website. They just need to sign in and browse over the categories to vote. There are a total of 30 awards to be given during the event, including the Game of the Year award, which has "Doom Eternal," "Final Fantasy VII Remake," "Ghost of Tsushima," "Hades," "Animal Crossing: New Horizon," and "The Last of Us Part II" as nominees.
