"Team Fortress 2" fans finally have something new to be excited about as the game released the TF2 Smissmas 2020 event, new community maps, and content on December 3.

According to the Tech Raptor, while there are not much updates in the game, Valve continues to give"Team Fortress 2" a round of maintenance including the holiday-themed event, Smissmas 2020. The new event is already live after the release of a patch on December 3 along with various community contents. The event will run until January 7, 2021. Check out the updates below.

TF2 Smissmas 2020 Event: What's new?

The biggest update included in the recent patch is the addition of four new community maps, including Wutville, Snowfall, SnowVille, and Pier. The game will also add seven new effects for Unusual taunts as well as 12 new effects for Unusual hats. More importantly, eight newly-created community taunts are added to the Mann Co. Store.

• Taunt: Rocket Jockey
• Taunt: Scorcher's Solo
• Taunt: The Boston Boarder
• Taunt: Texas Truckin'
• Taunt: The Fist Bump
• Taunt: Spin-to-Win

Aside from these community-created taunts, there will also be 19 new unusual effects. Check out the complete list below:

TF2 Smissmas 2020 Event: New Cosmetics

The TF2 Smissmas 2020 event did not fail to include some cosmetics updates, which are still a huge thing in the game. There are two new cases available: the Winter 2020 War Paint Case and the Winter 2020 Cosmetic Case. These give players chance to try out some newly community-created content during the holiday season, but of course, players need the respective keys to open each case.

Winter 2020 War Paint Case

The Winter 2020 War Paint Case lets players paint their master pieces with any of the following community-made War Paints included in the Winter 2020 collection:

• Saccharine Striped War Paint
• Starlight Serenity War Paint
• Frosty Delivery War Paint
• Frozen Aurora War Paint
• Cookie Fortress War Paint
• Elfin Enamel War Paint
• Gingerbread Winner War Paint
• Smissmas Spycrabs War Paint
• Peppermint Swirl War Paint
• Glacial Glazed War Paint
• Gifting Mann's Wrapping Paper War Paint
• Snowflake Swirled War Paint
• Snow Globalization War Paint

The Case may include a global bonus item or items such as MvM tickets, paint cans, taunt unusualifiers, or TF2 tools.

Winter 2020 Cosmetic Case

Meanwhile, the Winter 2020 Cosmetic Case is locked and needs the specific key to open it up. The case includes a community-created item, which may be Unusual or Strange Winter 2020 Hat. Check out the Winter 2020 Cosmetic Collection to get an idea of what item the case may contain:
