"Disco Elysium" will be coming to next-gen consoles in 2021 as earlier announced by the game's developer ZA/UM during the Game Awards on December 10.

"Disco Elysium: The Final Cut" PC, PS5, PS4, and Stadia versions will be available in March 2021 while the game will arrive by summer to Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X, as reported by Destructoid.

'Disco Elysium: The Final' Cut PC, PS5, PS4 versions

According to Gog.Com, "Disco Elysium" is an open world role-playing game where players become detectives and either become a hero or a disaster to humanity. Using their unique skill system, they crack murders, interrogate unforgettable characters, or even take bribes.

Back in The Game Awards 2019, "Disco Elysium" won in four categories: Narrative, RPG, Independent Game, and Fresh Indie Game. In the recently concluded event, ZA/UM announced that "Disco Elysium: The Final Cut" will arrive in early 2021.

For the upcoming game, "Disco Elysium"  will get upgrades like an overhauled UI and control system, new voicework, new customization options as well as new Political Vision Quests.

The Disco Elysium: The Final Cut PS5 will support up to 4K resolutions and run at 60 FPS to ensure a great gaming experience.

'Disco Elysium' free upgrade

The "Final Cut" creator ZA/UM also announced that original "Disco Elysium" owners on PC will be given an option to upgrade for free. This will add a previously unseen area available to explore, full voice-acting for every line, a new Political Vision Quests where players will leave bigger mark as well as new characters to encounter.

For those who are not familiar with the game, PC Gamer explained that players can trade booze with stories with a character named Idiot Doom Spiral. His stories include the lost Cocaine Skull in which Idiot Doom Spiral explained that it is impossible as the path a lorry owned by Delta Logistics Company blocks it while it would require a new gear and an expensive expedition.

Some fans believe this may mean the creator is developing an additional content for "Disco Elysium," but it remains a rumor until the game is officially rolled out.

'Disco Elysium': The Final Cut Collector's Edition

Meanwhile, dedicated fans and detectives may check out the "Disco Elysium: The Final Cut" Collector's Edition, which was released by iam8bit. Buyers may get the collectibles pre-ordered at the iam8bit store for around $249.99. This lavish pack contains a 190-page hardback art-book, a fabric map of Martinese, a hand-painted "Totem" sculpture, all housed in innovative "Layers of the id" packaging, and a boxed physical copy of "Disco Elysium: The Final Cut" on PC, PS5, PS4, or Xbox Series X.

However, some Twitter users find the collection quite pricey. As @Starry_Aqua said: "$250. That's $100 more than the Ori collector's edition, which I thought was too expensive for what you got. This looks like you get the same amount of content." Meanwhile, iam8bit noted that they are creating premium items, hence, the price.

Shipping for the collector's edition will begin in 2021 while a standard version will be available at retailers later in 2021.
