What is Galarian Pokemon?

Euro Gamer explained that Galarian Pokemon differs from their counterparts, both statistically and physically. Usually, when a Pokemon achieves its Galarian form, its type will also change. For example, Darumaka is originally a fire-type monster, but it'll become an ice-type once it reaches its Galarian form.

Galarian Pokemon was first released as a part of the eight generation Pokemon. These pocket-monsters are living in the Galar Region, which is inspired by Britain. Because of this, most of the Galarian Pokemon are also inspired by either British mythology, history, or wildlife.
