The PlayStation 5 is getting restocked on Best Buy on Tuesday, December 15, and here is everything you need to know when lining up to purchase the most coveted next-generation console from Sony. There would also be a new method of purchase and delivery, with Best Buy strictly maintaining an online sale for both the PlayStation 5 and Microsoft's Xbox Series X.

The next-generation consoles from both Japanese entertainment conglomerate and American technology company, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, would have a restock on Best Buy's website until supplies last. Both consoles are extremely fast to sell out, so the public should always be on the lookout for the time and schedule it would drop.

According to Best Buy's blog post, the Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X would only be available via an online purchase from the company's e-commerce store. The sale is also guaranteed for anyone, without having to the lineup in an online queue, waitlist, or reservation list, as it will follow a first-come, first-served basis.

Moreover, there would not be any shipping from Best Buy, meaning people would have to choose the curbside pickup (like foods and groceries during the pandemic) and get the console directly from a retail store. The pickup is only for those who have successfully purchased the PS5 and Xbox Series X on Best Buy's website.

The curbside pickup also guarantees that the next-generation consoles would immediately be in the buyer's possession in time for Christmas 2020, and not blame delayed shipping, which is always the case during holidays. Best Buy would hold a three-day sale starting Tuesday, December 15, for the restocks of the gaming consoles.

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X Date and Time Restocks on Best Buy's Website

The company's blog post said that the consoles would drop on Best Buy's PlayStation 5 listing and Xbox Series S and X listing "some time" past 8 am, Central Time (9 am Eastern Time and 6 am Pacific Time). However, Best Buy's statement was unsure of the time, but aspiring buyers are advised to be on the lookout for PS5, and Xbox Series X restocks.

PlayStation 5

Sony's PlayStation 5 Standard Edition is currently out-of-stock on Best Buy, but wait for December 15, 8 am Central Time. PS5's price is $499.

Xbox Series X

The Xbox Series X is the "standard version" from Microsoft's new console releases that accept discs. Currently out-of-stock but would restock live on December 15. Xbox Series X is priced at $499.

Xbox Series S

The digital version of the new release from Microsoft, Xbox Series S, would join the two console's live sale on December 15. This console is cheaper for $299 only.

Expect the unexpected and expect the worst on Best Buy's restock as many problems occur, especially when a huge volume of people are logged into a website's servers in buying the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X. It is highly recommended that users are already logged in and have the PS5's Best Buy listing or Xbox Series X listing bookmarked or saved on their browsers to immediately purchase the console once it goes live.

Also, people are advised to enter their payment information, addresses, and other credentials, which Best Buy's website requires for a seamless transaction to buy the console. There are alternate pickup locations from retail stores, curbside pickup, and next-day deliveries from Best Buy.
