Nokia 5.4 is finally released! It is confirmed that the new smartphone will have the powerful Snapdragon 662 chipset and a 48MP camera!

Rumors claim that it could steal the title of "best cheap phone" from Xiaomi. The new smartphone could be is considered as the new budget phone of HMD Global.
The tech manufacturer released the new product after unveiling the Nokia 5.3 in March 2019, together with the Nokia 8.3 5G and the new Android Go-powered Nokia 1.3. Nokia 5.4 was released just after nine months.

However, Android Central reported that the new Nokia smartphone is not a big upgrade over its predecessor. Although this is the case, the new Nokia 5.4 still promises an improved camera experience.

How good is the new Nokia 5.4?

The new handset costs roughly $230 or €189. HMD Global confirmed that it'll be available in some regions before Dec. 25. However, the manufacturer also said that it will only come to Europe in the upcoming new year.

According to Tech Radar's latest report, there is no announcement yet when will it be released in the United States. However, there's still a chance that it will arrive in the country earlier.

As of the moment, the new phone has not been tested yet unlike Xiaomi's two budget phones. To give more idea about its features, here are Nokia 5.4's specs you need to know.

Nokia 5.4's specs

The latest cheap smartphone has an HD+ resolution feature and a 6.39-inch LCD display. Just like the previous devices of HMD Global, it is a punch-hole cut-out design for the selfie camera, which is located at the top-left corner of the phone's display.

It has a design that is fairly standard for a Nokia flagship. This means that it'll have a circular camera bump with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor which is located at the bottom. It also has a plastic build, just like the latest Nokia smartphones.

Nokia 5.4 will have five cameras in total. It will bring a 16MP front camera and 48MP rear cameras. Three of the rear cameras will have 2MP depth, 5MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro camera features.

One of its most unique features is the ability to add watermarks to the captured images. However, it will not be like the usual "Taken on ____" watermark that you can see in other devices, such as Oppo, and Samsung.

The new watermark feature of Nokia 5.4 could also allow the users to add their own flair to the photos. HMD Global confirmed that it will have a 4,000mAh battery, allowing it to last two days when it has a full batt.
