"Grand Theft Auto Online" has taken players to the island of Cayo Perico owned by drug lord El Rubio. In addition, many fans would want to learn about how to find the Perico Pistol, El Rubio's very own legendary handgun.
Stealing El Rubio's golden gun inside his own island would be highly difficult. Nevertheless, here is a complete guide on how to get the GTA Online perico pistol and small key locations.
GTA Online Perico Pistol
According to Game Rant,the Perico pistol is a secret weapon inspired by the 1974 James Bond film "The Man with the Golden Gun." The firearm may be obtained during the Cayo Perico Heist finale after snatching a small key from the guard who is sleeping outside the Los Santos bars and nightclubs.
Perico Pistol Key Location
Players would need to get the small key from the guard to find the Perico Pistol. This is a random event that is marked with a blue dot on the map. It will appear on public, crew, invite only, or any type of session.
Players just need to find one of the guards that can be seen sleeping outside of Los Santos bars or nightclubs. We recommend visiting any of the following locations and switch between lobbies until the key shows up:
- Red Desert Avenue/Del Perro Beach
- Mission Row
- Del Perro/Del Perro Fairway
- Grapeseed
- Downtown Vinewood (close to the apartment)
- Rancho/Capital Boulevard
- Paleto Bay
- North Chumash
GTA Online Perico Pistol: How to get it
GTA Online players will have to work hard to get the Perico Pistol that is hidden in El Rubio's compound.
To get the Perico Pistol, for one, players would need to pay $2.2 million to buy the Kosatka submarine from Warstock Cache and Carry. However, there is still no guarantee they will snag this precious item even after spending this much while players may search for treasure to help recover the cost of the submarine.
They will then need to find a sleeping guard and steal a "Small Key." While the location is random, they could easily get the key once they find the guard. Once the key is found, players go back to the Heist and head to El Rubio's office in the main building, which can accessed using the basement elevator or through stairs. While it is easy to find the stairs, it is also highly prone to enemy attack.
El Rubio's office is located in the grand room with a huge desk. Players would need to unlock the right-hand drawer to find the Perico Pistol. However, there is no guarantee that players will receive the Perico Pistol since only the person who finds the golden weapon will receive the prize.
Perico Pistol Upgrades
After finding the gilded gun, players can claim the Perico Pistol at Ammu-Nation. They can also stock up on ammo for $5 for every double round.
