'Genshin Impact Crimson Agate' Tree

As mentioned earlier, you will not find the Frostbearing Tree icon on your map yet until you find and unlock it. To find the tree, you would need to take the Dragonspine questline by traveling from the research encampment and into the Dragonspine region. Follow the road until you come across a big ice shard where the Frostbearing Tree is stuck inside. Paimon will alert you when you are already close to the ice.

Unfortunately, the game will not tell you where the tree is and how to unlock it. Of course, this guide will help you with that, but do not shatter the ice right away.

How to unlock the Frostbearing Tree

Collect Scarlet Quartz to melt the ice. You can find four Scarlet Quartz pieces in the following locations:

  • On the right side while walking towards the Frostbearing Tree; it is next to the road.
  • In the grass behind the ice shard.
  • On a big Mitachurl located to your left when standing in front of the ice shard.
  • On the rocks at the right side of the road.

Once you find a piece of Quartz, go back to the ice shard and use an attack, even a normal attack will do. Repeat four times to completely melt the ice and free the Frostbearing Tree.

'Genshin Impact' Crimson Agate: How Many Locations?

After unlocking the Frostbearing Tree, its icon will now appear on the map. You can now start offering bright Crimson Agate stones to level up your tree and receive rewards. Crimson Agate is different from Scarlet Quartz. Although they look almost similar, Crimson Agate is a glowing flower-shaped stone, which is much difficult to find.

Around 80 Crimson Agate can be found in the whole Genshin Impact and they can be obtained in various ways. The Crimson Agate may either be floating in the air, hiding behind some rocks, inside chests, which can only be attained after beating enemies or taking other special steps to obtain them.

You can get a Crimson Agate near the Frostbearing tree once you have unlocked it while others are hidden behind magical ice that can only be melted using Scarlet Quartz.

There is also a Crimson Agate located on the northeast of the map, but you will need to defeat an enemy and drain a pool to find an underwater chest, which hides the Crimson Agate along with other Agates. Meanwhile, you may also look for wind currents, timed challenges, bridges, and Fire Seelie puzzles to find all other Crimson Agates.

While exploring the rest of Dragonspine, make sure to keep an eye on your mini map as the Crimson Agate icon will appear when you get close enough to the precious red stone.

Frostbearing Tree Rewards

After leveling up the Frostbearing Tree, it will reward you with various things. There are 12 levels and each of them grant Mora, weapon enhancement materials, Adventure Rank experience, and one special item. Here are the special items you may receive from the Frostbearing Tree after offering Crimson Agate:
