Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S Update: Restock, Prices and Sites to Watch Out For

Gamers and fans of the Xbox series are waiting for news about the console's new stocks. Luckily, gamers can now purchase the Xbox Series S at Walmart, a great start to 2021.

Xbox Series S restock

It has been months since Xbox Series X and Series S were released, and people still find it difficult to get their hands on it. Now after waiting for months, Walmart just announced that the Xbox Series S is available for $299, meaning it is the normal MSRP, and it is not the inflated price that we have all seen resellers charge for the console.

The Xbox Series S console at Walmart is available while the supplies last. This is the first console restock and the first great news of 2021 if you have been eager to purchase the Xbox Series S. No bundle required.

If you purchase the Series S today, it will be at your doorstep by January 26, 2021, according to Walmart's Xbox Series S page. That means that you can have your much-awaited console before the month ends, you just need to be fast enough to purchase it.

Since its launch in November 2020, it has been almost impossible to find the Xbox in stock. In December 2020, the shipping dates for the Xbox Series S was moved to 2021.

Xbox Series X restock

The Xbox Series X, which is pricier, is more difficult to find. A few retailers have had a couple of Xbox Series X available during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend, but the stocks were not enough to satisfy the growing demand of the console. It has been two months since the launch of the console and it has been impossible to find it.

Currently, there is no stock of the Xbox Series X anywhere. There have been a couple of inventory drops at stores like Best Buy and Walmart in the last couple of weeks.

Just before Christmas, Best Buy announced that it had some consoles for sale, which then sold out instantly, to no ones surprise. Walmart had its own inventory drops too, but they ran out of stock just as fast as they announced that they had it in store. So now, all retailers do not have the Xbox Series X yet.

Gamers are now keeping a close eye on Twitter and other source of news regarding Xbox Series X, as most Twitter users keep people up to date on what massive retailers such as Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop and Target have in store.

It is best to keep your expectations low though, as Microsoft confirmed in November that Xbox inventory could lack until April 2021, according to CNET.

While waiting for more consoles, you can start saving up. You can secure up to $500, which is the retail price, and it is still wise to avoid pricey retailer bundles, which normally include accessories, games and controllers. If you do not have a 4K TV, you can get the Xbox Series S instead, as you can save up to $100 plus you can purchase it now at Walmart.
