Desserts are indeed a treat before or after any meals, even whenever one wishes to eat, may it be while watching a movie, reading a book, browsing the internet, or moping. A frozen appliance company, ColdSnap, has debuted its latest addition to its device lineup for home use, featuring a machine that serves up cold treats at any time of the day.

Ice cream trucks are not as popular as they were back in the days, and it certainly would not begin their operation now because of the threat of COVID-19. Home remedies including homemade ice cream or store-bought are the only options for the frozen treat, but the good thing here is now a machine can do that for people in under two minutes.

The coffee pod machines have been popular since the start of the 2000s century, with Keurig and Nespresso rivaling each other over popularity and patronage for instantly-made coffee that resembles specially made ones. The trend has resurfaced throughout the decades, with the 2010s reviving the pod system coffees again, in rivalry with emerging coffee shops.

The idea of making quality coffee through the pod systems (which captures different flavors in each capsule) has made its way to ice cream machines, which is one of the hardest desserts to do as it requires time and effort. The coolest (figuratively) and home use machine has debuted in CES 2021, with ColdSnap introducing a new way to make the frozen treat.

Not only do machines create soft-serve ice cream, but it also features different cold treats including smoothies, frozen yogurt, frozen cocktails, frozen coffee, and frozen protein shakes with the technology. The machine only requires 60 to 90 seconds for the freezing process, with the rest is choosing the flavor and plating it up, all under two minutes.

ColdSnap Ice Cream Machine: How does it Work?

According to USA Today, Matthew Fonte, the CEO of ColdSnap, has taken inspiration from his daughters who wanted homemade ice creams instantly, using a machine that can produce them under minutes. The CEO then went on to create the compressor and condenser technology of the machine that can produce soft-serves that are smooth like store-bought.

The pod is a can that needs to be inserted at the top of the ColdSnap machine, which takes on the similar process of Keurig and Nespresso. The process would take only a minute and a half to churn, freeze, and serve the frozen treat, requiring little to no clean up in the process.

The innovation that was unveiled in CES 2021 is one of a kind, as frozen treats machine of the same kind requires different ingredients to put in before it can create the same output. Moreover, ColdSnap's machine is said to be released later this year, with a price tag ranging from $500 to $1,000, and its pods to cost $2.99 each.
