On the other hand, this display makes a great partner for Xbox Series X since the console now supports it, allowing the monitor to eliminate screen judder and tearing.
Although Asus' new display offers impressive HDR support, it is still using the DisplayHDR 600. According to TechRadar's latest report, this means that the Asus ROG Swift PG32UG can't provide impressive specular highlights that are offered by other HDR screens today.
However, Asus confirmed that the new monitor is still properly designed for gaming since it features a DisplayPort 1.4. The new screen can also reach a 144Hz refresh rate. But, this is only possible if the user's graphics card can handle the high refresh rate.
