'Hitman 3' Ending Guide

"Hitman 3" follows the cliffhanger ending of "Hitman 2," which was released in 2018, and wrapping up the arc that started in "Hitman," which was released in 2016, and also connects to the original series that was popular in the 2000s.

The game centers around Agent 47, as per usual, along with his handler, Diana, and his pseudo-brother, Lucas Grey, as they take down the secret society known as Providence, and its chief controller, the Constant.

If you've been binge-playing the game, it's most likely you have reached the ending of the game by now--but according to GamesRadar, there is a secret "Hitman 3" ending.

Not only can you get a second ending, but you can also unlock the A New Father feat by doing so.

'Hitman 3' Ending Explained

Leading to the final level of "Hitman 3," you will be facing off with Diana, Agent 47's previous handler, who has now joined Providence after the death of Grey and their split from the ICA, and is seen as the next candidate as the chief controller of Providence by the Controller himself, who goes by the name Arthur Edwards.

Diana managed to convince Agent 47 that she only wants to take the Providence down from the inside.

However, by the end of the fifth mission, Agent 47 is poisoned by Diana, who also reveals that she knows the assassin killed her parents after being informed by Edwards.

Agent 47 meets Diana, who joined the Providence after splitting with the ICA.

This then takes "Hitman 3" players to the final level: a train circling Romania, where everyone is a target and players can basically take down anyone and everyone they like until they finally face off with the Controller himself.

Knowing he can't win against a genetically-engineered assassin, the Controller accepts his fate, but still offers Agent 47 a serum that can wipe off his memories, something that old "Hitman" fans would definitely know about.

Once you take the serum, you'll be given two choices: kill Edwards, or use the serum on him to wipe his memory off.

Regardless of the choice you make, the ending will remain unchanged: Diana will have indeed dismantled Providence from the inside, and a year later, Agent 47 finds the hut where she is hiding, only to find it empty with nothing a but phone, which he uses to contact Diana.

The pair agrees to continue working together to bring down anyone who consider themselves as "untouchables."

The Secret Ending and the Easter Egg

And that's it--that's the end of the game. So, how about the secret ending?

It's actually fairly simple. During the final face-off with the Constant, you can unlock a third option that triggers the "Hitman 3" secret ending and an original "Hitman" Easter egg.

Once you pick up the serum, do nothing for a minute--then you should be provided with a third option, where you can use the serum on yourself and wipe your memories off to become a living weapon yet again.

You can reject the Constant's first offer, but you can reconsider and you can choose to accept.

If you do, Agent 47 will pass out just as the Constant reassures him that he will take care of him, followed by a brief cutscene showing the assassin waking up in a padded cell and the Constant's voice saying, "Wake up! It's the dawn of a new day, and you have things to do," word-for-word recreation of the opening scene of the very first "Hitman" game.
