Rockstar Games, the developer of "Grand Theft Auto" and other succeeding titles, lost its equipment worth thousands of dollars! The incident was believed to be caused by a woman who is now facing multiple charges for her crime scene.

The accused woman resides in Oakville. According to Game Rant's latest report, the thief was accused of a large theft of computer equipment from the Toronto branch of Rockstar Games. The authorities said that the woman's list of thefts was recorded from December 24 until Jan.  23.

As of the moment, she is currently facing 18 charges since she was also accused of other crimes. Officials claimed that she is also the one responsible for a number of automobile break-ins that also lead to stolen property.

What is inside Rockstar Games' packages?

Reports suggested that the woman was able to make off with more than $66,000 work of accessories and equipment from Rockstar offices. However, the authorities didn't specify what kind of accessory or equipment were in those stolen packages.

The woman was able to get the boxes before the game developer was even able to secure them. On the other hand, the authorities also didn't clarify what happened to the stolen packages.

Authorities said that she is facing trafficking property obtained by crime, theft over $5,000, and fraudulent use of a credit card. Her act will be considered grand theft in certain jurisdictions. 
Why? Because most of her crimes are said to be serious and would likely result in considerable punishment. Right now, the popular game developer did not release any claim or statement regarding the theft.

As of the moment, the officials are confused about how the woman was able to steal thousand dollar equipment, especially since there are no reports confirming that she worked with other parties or groups.

Rockstar Games' another unlucky moment

Previously, Comic Book reported that one of the employees in Rockstar Games accidentally leaked a new game! The leak caught the attention of "Red Dead Redemption," "GTA," and the company's dormant IP fans. The game was revealed by Ian Gander, one of Rockstar Games' senior designers. He spent almost 10 years at the company. After the leak made a huge noise, he immediately updated his LinkedIn profile to delete the post.
