It is another "Man versus Machine" match-up that pits Mark Rober's insane robot against Matt Prater of the Detroit Lions who currently holds the world's longest field goal attempt in an NFL game. The invention has called upon popular NFL Placekicker to test the limits of the recently made machine by the famous YouTuber and inventor.

The former engineer from NASA and Apple, Mark Rober, has spent his days in creating impressive technology by using his knowledge and passion as an inventor to develop insane inventions in his garage. This time, the YouTuber's invention is a wild and ambitious attempt that aims to defeat humans in the world of American Football.

A field goal can make or break a game, especially during the final moments where a team needs to rush and gather points without sacrificing a risky play of a touchdown. In the National Football League, a touchdown scores six (6) points in the game, while the field goal kick can score three (3) points.

Several PKs have been recognized for their skill and achievements throughout NFL history, and one of them is Matt Prater of the Detroit Lions that holds the "World's Longest Field Goal in an NFL game."

According to Mark Rober's YouTube Channel, since the season of the Super Bowl LV is coming to fruition, he was inspired to incorporate one of the "unnamed holiday" of Americans into his inventions. With this, Rober has decided to create a robot that performs a powerful kick that can launch a football from zone towards the field goal.

Alongside the festivities of the month, particularly with the Super Bowl LV near coming to an end with the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers' match up, Rober has invited an NFL Star to test out the robot.

According to Men's Health, Pratter discussed in the video that the first factor is leg speed, while the second is the point of impact of the tip of one's shoes to the ball. The Lions' Placekicker said that it should be 2.2 inches from the tip of the ball.

Moreover, Matt Pratter said that the contact from the foot's tip to the football is when the leg is fully extended to get the maximum power and generate the highest velocity and distance from the procedure.

Mark Rober's Robot vs. Matt Prater from Detroit Lions: Who Would Win?

Initially, Rober revealed that he was able to build a 60-yard Field Goal robot last year, but was unsuccessful to beat Matt Prater's 64-yard field goal record. Here, Mark Rober developed the robot, as discussed by Matt Prater, as to what are the key factors that make a kick to a football fly far and reach its goal.

The new and improved version of Rober's robot kicker called "Ray Finkle" was able to beat Matt Prater over a 70-yard field goal match. Here, the robot only has 80 percent power.
