The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Inc. has jumped out from the square ring that made legends out of entertainment athletes and has headed to the halls of the ongoing 2014 International CES in Las Vegas to announced the WWE Network.

The WWE Network is a $10 per month subscription-only service that will bring the best of entertainment wrestling world to every device. The subscription that will officially launch on February 24 in the United States will require a six-month commitment but will already include the 12 most sought-after pay-per-view wrestling big events that will be made available live and on-demand.

According to WWE, the network will launch in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the Nordics, Singapore, and Hong Kong before the end of the year or early part of 2015.

"Today is a historic day for WWE as we transform and reimagine how we deliver our premium live content and 24/7 programming directly to our fans around the world. WWE Network will provide transformative growth for our company and unprecedented value for our fans," said WWE chairman and chief executive Vince McMahon.

"WWE Network, the first 24/7 network delivered directly to fans through over-the-top digital distribution, will be available on desktops and laptops via WWE.com. WWE Network will also be available through the WWE App on: Amazon's Kindle Fire devices; Android devices such as Samsung Galaxy; iOS devices such as Apple iPad and iPhone; Roku streaming devices; Sony PlayStation 3 and Sony PlayStation 4; and Xbox 360. Availability on additional devices, including Xbox One and select Smart TVs, will follow this summer," WWE added in a statement.

Those interested can sign-up starting morning of the launch date via WWE.com. The WWE Network will officially launch at 11:06 pm EST on the said date and fans will be able to access the extensive wrestling videos on demand. The network will also give fans a week of free trial.

In the future, there will also be WWE live pre and post show coverage on Mondays and Fridays, a reality show, and original WWE series.

WWE teased about the idea of having its own 24x7 network in 2011 and with the latest announcement joins the ranks of other sports leagues such as the MLB, NFL, NBA, and the NHL that provides fans contents on-demand through their own networks.

The company said it will most likely keep the subscription rate at $10 and this will be big savings for those who love paying for pay-per-view events. The Royal Rumble happening on January 26, for example, is available on PPV for $50.
