Gearbox Software continues to increase the excitement for their first-person shooting game "Borderlands 3," which will feature new story missions and the Director's Cut DLC. Through the missions, you will now be engaging with Hemovorous the Invincible, the challenge's newest raid boss.
'Borderlands 3' New Story Missions
The Gearbox Entertainment's acquisition by the Embracer Group for $1.3 billion over the past weeks has been loud news across the gaming community. However, this will not stop Gearbox from expanding interesting features for the "Borderlands 3" as new events are added for the game's progress.
With its debut in 2020, the Broken Hearts Day event returned this year as a Valentines' Day event. The said segment will feature the same mechanics, but the only difference this time is that you can acquire Halloween loot. It will be available until Feb. 25 at 8:59 AM PT.
You are tasked to kill enemies in this Valentines' mission. You can see floating hearts as markers of them, and when you defeat them, the hearts will break. Just be careful that if you shoot an enemy down, there are six possibilities that could happen according to Borderlands' official page.

The heart could give you a health regeneration.

The heart could explode and damage you.

The heart could drop a loot

The heart could convert your enemies into temporary allies

The heart could spawn a ghost enemy. This was the newest feature of the 2021's event. (Note: the enemies came from the Bloody Harvest event during Halloween, so this is now your chance to acquire some loots from there)

The heart could give you much higher rewards such as the following. Just remember that the more hearts you break, the better the chances of obtaining a good reward.

10 Hearts: You will receive an 'ECHOcardiogram' ECHO Skin

25 Hearts: You will receive a 'Cosmic Romance' Weapon Trinket

50 Hearts: You will receive a 'Terminal Polyaimorous' Legendary Maliwan SMG

75 Hearts: You will receive a 'Heartbreaker' Vault Hunter Skin

100 Hearts: You will receive a 'Wedding Invitation' Legendary Jakobs Sniper Rifle
Note: While this sounds like new rewards, the cosmetic rewards are the only re-colored version of 2020 items.
'Borderlands 3' Director's Cut DLC
According to Gearbox, the new raid boss, Hemovorous the Invincible, will be the antagonist Varkid for the latest DLC. She was a colossal monster, which spawns insects that are ordered to attack you.
"A gargantuan Varkid who drops some of the best loot in the game (provided you can actually kill her). Hemovorous has made her lair behind a previously sealed door on Pandora," Gearbox shared as per VGR's report.
If you are really pumped up to try the tight endgame of this looter-shooter, this DLC is for you, but first, you need 500 Eridium to unlock the door. As you progress, the event's scale also varies with your Mayhem Mode level.
Furthermore, not only Hemovorous will be "Borderlands''" latest addition, as Ava will be welcomed to the new story mission. Gearbox described the paranormal event as something that will send ripples for your whole "Borderlands 3" journey. Moreover, the DLC from the Director's Cut will also introduce Vault Cards.
Upon launch, a cosmetic will be released, while the remaining will come in the latter half of 2021.
