Analogue's Pocket may have been out of stock for a while now, but fans of retro games are in for a treat as Analogue is set to release more Pockets this year.

Analogue Pocket restock

The famous portable console that can play Game Gear, Game Boy, Atari Lynx and Neo Geo Pocket Color games from its original cartridges went up for pre-order in 2020 and it was sold out almost immediately.

The company, Analogue, had to put a pause in releasing a new batch of products because of the pandemic and its effects on the supply chain. Pocket is set to be out in the market again on May 2021 after the company released an announcement assuring the fans that it is selling more gaming units in the future.

Currently, Pocket is still out of stock on Analogue's website but buyers have the option to get a notification as soon as the product becomes available.

Analogue's announcement makes it very clear that Pocket will be available for purchase soon and that the status is not permanent.

Pocket is not a limited edition device as Analogue stated and it will be available for purchase in mid-2021. The company is also taking steps to prevent scalpers from purchasing dozens of units at once and selling them at much higher prices.

The company promised to implement robust bot protection on its store. All of the orders that are placed by bots will be automatically cancelled. Bot orders usually happens when a product first goes up for pre-order or sale on a website.

Also, the company will monitor retail websites like Amazon and eBay for listings as they resell pre-orders and will immediately report them to the e-commerce platforms directly. The company will also cancel all of the pre-orders that are listed for resale.

While Analogue did not say when the exact date is that Pocket will be available again, the company is encouraging interested people to sign up for a notification on their Analogue website now.
