Besides fighting, "Valheim" also lets you unravel in its wilderness to discover animals. The 'wild beasts' you can nurture in the game can supply you with the resources you need to survive. The guide below will teach you how to tame all animals in "Valheim."

Besides that, players have been testing their towering base builds with unique designs and formations. Recently, a creator built the Tower of Sauron, which caught the gamers' attention, especially the "Lord of the Rings" fans.

How to Tame Animals in 'Valheim'

This guide by IGN will show you how to tame the wild beasts, particularly the boar, the wolf, and the lox. Now let's get into details of each of them.

How to Tame a Boar in 'Valheim'

Wild boars are common-place in the world of "Valheim." These creatures can be encountered in the Meadows biome. You can also spot a singular (a group of boars) that is freely roaming around the area.

First, you need extreme patience in taming a boar. Start by making a small pen where you can lure it.

You can also use food like blueberry and raspberry - both of them are boar's favorite food. If you cannot find berries, you can use carrots and mushrooms that can be found on the Meadows.

In some cases, boars are walking around the fences. When you see them, proceed to repairment of the enclosure from a Round pole fence.Remember that there should be a space for the fence where you can scatter food. You will bait them using it. Then, you can now exit the pen to close the space that you made a while ago.

The boar will test your patience until it calms down but just take note that it will eat its food once you leave. An indication that your pet boar is already happily eating is the yellow heart above its head. From there, you can now tame it.

Pay attention to its status - a percentage that dictates the level of being tamed. If it indicates 'acclimatizing,' the boar is now adjusting to its new habitat by warming itself up.

Before leaving the boar, check if it has plenty of food. After you return to the pen, you can now pet it.

How to Tame a Wolf in 'Valheim'

To be honest, taming wolves will be more challenging than taming boars. You have to be fully ready to brave the cold mountains while hunting one.

Like taming boars, you need to plan to build a pen so you can lure them there. However, be careful during construction since wolves can attack you any time, so you have to be sneaky as much as possible.

It is recommended that you make a Stakewall that is sturdier than a Round pole fence. To lure the wolf, use raw meat and throw the rest into the pen. Bait a pack of wolves by putting raw meat that is lined after another.

Once they are inside, crouch while exiting so, they will not notice you. Like the boars, the wolves will calm down after a moment. The same indicator of yellow heart will show up if they are happy.
Refilling raw meat is not easy, and you will resort to repair your pen multiple times. To solve that, construct a platform that has stairs, so you can look at the progress from there.

It can now battle along with you after taming a wolf, but make sure that it will not die since taming it is a tedious process.

How to Tame a Lox in 'Valheim'

The lox is the largest beast that you can tame in "Valheim." To lure this mammoth-like reptile, use cloudberries or barley as baits.

Due to its enormous size, a lox can easily damage you in one blow. Make sure that it will not be frightened. The creature is easy to feed, but you need many stocks of food until the tame progress reaches 100%.

Be patient because it could take you many days to tame it fully. You can also build a pen just like what you did earlier in wolves and boars.

A wood pen is not recommended since a lox can easily topple it down. Instead, build a cage made up of stone. Drop the bait in the pen until a lox comes in to eat it. You can also lure it to chase you but, do you want to get killed fast?

Continue feeding it until it becomes super happy, so you can now pet this creature. But, keep in mind that you cannot reproduce a lox at the moment. Maybe in future updates, the developers will change this.

Someone Built the Tower of Sauron

Rynborg, the said creator of Sauron's tower, impressed the players due to its outstanding architecture, PC Gamer reported. The Eye of Sauron is what will catch your attention, especially those who love "Lord of the Rings."

If you want to use it, Rynborg modded it into two builds: the Advanced and the Forever Building.
