It has been a year since "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" has been released, and Nintendo is making new updates for the beloved Switch game by unveiling its plans for March.

'Super Mario Bros.'-Themes, Pi Day, and Shamrock Day in 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons'

In a Niche Gamer report, "Super Mario Bros." will come to "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" as part of its 35th Anniversary from Nintendo's console. A functional Warp Pipe will be added to the life-simulation game that will take players around the island.

Nintendo has revealed that if more than one Warp Pipe is present on the "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" island, the Pipe player's exit will be chosen randomly. However, Warp Pipes can be used inside a player's home to warp anywhere on their island. Players should leave plenty of room around the pipe to jump in and out of.

The "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" update will arrive on Feb. 25, while the items will be available to purchase in-game with in-game Bells from NookShopping on Mar. 1. Players who download the update will get the free Mushroom Mural.

The "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" will also bring Hinamatsuri (Doll's Day or Girl's Day in Japan) on Mar. 3. Hinamatsuri is a celebration where ornamental dolls are displayed on platforms covered with red carpeting. These dolls are dressed in traditional clothing from the Heian period (794 - 1185 classic Japan) and represent the Emperor and Empress, and the attendants and musicians. This placement represents a traditional Heian-period wedding.

Players will obtain a Hinaningyo doll and a blossom lantern from Feb. 25 to Mar.3. Each day will feature a different doll, making up the series.

Pi Day will be celebrated on Mar. 14 - as Pi is a mathematical symbol representing the ratio of the circumference of any circle to the diameter, with the value of Pi being 3.14. One of the things that make Pi unique is that it is known for being an irrational number that never ends.

On Mar. 1 to 14, "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" celebrates Pi Day enabling players to purchase a Pi pie as a gift to their online friends and hopes that they can see through the humor in it.

"Animal Crossing: New Horizons" also celebrates St. Patrick's Day on Mar. 17. Players can get shamrock soda, shamrock doorplates, shamrock rugs, and shamrock clothes. One item will be available each day from Mar. 10 to 17 when players log in as iMore reports.

ScreenRant reports that there will be five new deep-sea creatures coming to "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" in March.
