The game "Genshin Impact" has been a massive hit when launched in 2020, with developer miHoYo reporting that it earned around $800 million.
One of the best aspects of the video game has been its characters, and one of the most anticipated ones is Hu Tao. You will discover the skills and the story quest for the character and find previously leaked gameplay that hinted at her entrance.
MiHoYo posted about her arrival on YouTube and immediately got more than a million views in just seven hours. This is proof that Hu Tao is highly anticipated.
So what are her skills and story quest? As well as her previous gameplay?
Genshin Impact Hu Tao story quest
The story quest for the character in the game is named Papilio Charontis. This upcoming story quest for Hu Tao requires an Adventure Rank of 40 or above, and it will start on Mar. 2.
You will also need to have completed Archon Quest Chapter I: Act II Farewell, Archaic Lord, to be eligible to move forward.
The aforementioned Story mission, there will also be an expedition event called Vishaps and Where to Find Them starting on Mar. 5. This will require an Adventure Rank of 20 or above and the completion of Liyue Katherine's Vishaps and Where to Find Them.
The arrival of the upcoming Pyro heroine is not surprising because she was already leaked alongside Xiao last year. A lot of leaked gameplay had appeared online from insider NEP NEP on Twitter.
Hu Tao's skills
The skills for Hu Tao have now been confirmed by "Genshin Impact." Honey Hunter World had posted about Hu Tao's skills in the game, but miHoYo had confirmed the attacks and talents of Hu Tao, according to Inverse.
Hu Tao's normal attack performs up to six consecutive strikes, and her charged attack consumes stamina to lunge forward and to deal damage to enemies. The plunge sees her strike the ground from mid-air in order to deal AoE DMG upon impact.
When it comes to her skills, Paramita Papillo State increases her attack based on her max HP. The attack DMG also gets converted to Pyro DMG, and her resistance to interruption will be increased.
The Paramita Papillio charged attacks apply the Blood Blossom effect as well when hitting enemies. The Blood Blossom deals Pyro DMG every four seconds, and the enemies can only be affected once.
Aside from that, Hu Tao is also said to boast an Elemental Burst, also known as Spirit Smoother. This commands a spirit to attack and deal Pyro DMG in a massive AoE, according to Game Informer.
The striking of enemies will then regenerate a percentage of Hu Tao's HP in an effect that can be triggered a maximum of five times. In regenerating her heath, both HP and DMG regeneration will be increased if Hu Tao's HP is below 50%.
After this, the skills moved onto Passive Talents. Flutter By will then increase the party's critical rate by 12% when Paramita Papilio finishes, and Sanguine Rogue will increase her Pyro DMG by 33% when her health is equal to 50% or lower than that.
