Thundurus Therian forme is a Tier 5 raid boss in "Pokemon Go" and will be introduced in the game on Mar. 16 from 10 A.M. E.S.T and will last until Mar. 30 at 10 A.M. E.S.T.

Thundurus Therian has a dual typing of Electric and Flying. It is boosted by Rainy or Windy weather and its counters include strong Ice and Rock-type Pokemon like Rampardos, Rhyperior, Galarian Darmanitan and mega evolutions like Mega Abomasnow.

While it is less bulky than its Incarnate counterpart, Thundurus is noted for having a very high ATK stat and will still take four high-level "Pokemon Go" trainers under ideal conditions or five to seven trainers under normal conditions just to beat it.

Introduced in the Gen V games "Pokemon Black" and "Pokemon White," the Forces of Nature are a well-known trio. Fans of the game have called them the Cloud Trio, according to Republic World.

The Cloud Trio includes Tornadus: the Cyclone Pokemon, Landorus: the Abundance Pokemon and Thundurus: the Bolt Strike Pokemon.

Best counters for Therian forme Thundurus

As an Electric and Flying type Pokemon, Therian forme Thundurus is weak against Rock and Ice type damages. While the Incarnate forme Thundurus can deal with Ghost, Electric, Fighting and Dark type damage, Therian forme can swap out a Ghost type move for a Poison type move.

Also, Thundurus' attack is higher and his defense is lower, which means that the potential counters perform a bit differently, according to GamePress GG.

The first best counter for Therian forme Thundurus is Rampardos. Rampardos is a fossil Pokemon that is found in the Sinnoh region and is the best non-Shadow counter for Thundurus.

As a pure Rock type, it will take double damage from Thundurus' Fighting type move, and half from his Poison type move. It is readily available since Cranidos, its first stage, has been featured in various "Pokemon Go" events and Eggs.

Rock Slide and Smack Down are the moves you will want your Rampardos to learn for this fight.

The second best counter for Therian forme Thundurus is Rhyperior. Rhyperior is the Sinnoh Stone evolution of Gen I's Rhydon and it performs well in this Raid, according to iMore.

Most players have at least one or two Rhyperior powered up. As a Ground and Rock type, it resists Electric type attacks but it takes double damage from Fighting.

The third best counter for Therian forme Thundurus is Mega Abomasnow. Although it does not perform as well as Rampardos and Rhyperior, if you can coordinate with the other "Pokemon Go" Trainers in your Raid, Mega Abomasnow will boost their Ice type Pokemon, making the team better.

Mega Abomasnow is Grass and Ice type, and it takes half damage from Electric, but double from Fighting. If you are bringing Mega Abomasnow to the Raid, you will want Powder Snow for the fast move and Weather Ball for the charged move.

Another best counter for Therian forme Thundurus is Galarian Darmanitan. Between sharing Candy and Darumaka being a common Egg hatch, most players have a lot of Candy for powering up the Ice type.

Just like many other counters, it takes added damage from Thundurus' Fighting type move, Brick Break, Ice Fang and Avalanche is the move set you are looking for.

You can also use Mamoswine, Terrakion, Tyranitar, Glaceon, Weavile and Landorus are also great counters for Therian forme Thundurus.
