Samsung has debuted a new feature for its Galaxy variant of smartphones that would go along with its previous iterations for the camera, particularly in OneUI 3.1, which has recently made its way to user systems. The new feature is called "Director's View," which was paired by the company with their dual recording system from their cameras.
The Director's View is the all-in-one and powerful setting in Samsung's built-in Camera application which aims to give users a chance to have extra control despite already beginning the recording sequence. Moreover, this feature was recently debuted to all Samsung Galaxy phones that have the OneUI version 3.1, despite not being the "S" premium variant.

Samsung Director's View and Dual Recording System
According to Samsung, the Director's View is a new tool that would help in giving people massive control with the Camera app, which also gives a new opportunity for vloggers and content creators to produce videos. The Director's View can allow users to switch between camera modes, along with using the dual recording system while shooting.
To use this feature,
- Open Samsung's Built-In Camera App
- Tap MORE and Scroll Until Finding the Director's View
- Toggle it on and Users Would Have Different Lenses appear at the bottom of the screen.
- If the Director's View Lenses are not seen, navigate the bottom of the screen to toggle it on
- After that, users may now begin recording the video, then use either the Telephoto, Wide Angle, Ultra Wide Angle, and other lenses that are available on one's Samsung phone.
To Use the Dual Recording Function
- While recording a video, click the floating grey box that hovers near the top right of the screen to toggle the Dual Recording System
- Click record and start the dual camera video
- If using the Director's View, click the floating grey box to toggle Dual Recording System even while already recording the clip
Dual Recording System

There are several options under Dual Recording System, and it could muster up to three choices where users can use it based on their preference in OneUI 3.1. The drop-down menu would appear once clicking the floating grey button, and would appear with three options:
- Picture-in-Picture - the picture-in-picture is the most common and default setting amongst all, especially as it places a small selfie image of the recording at the top right, while the main screen shows the rear-view camera's recording and feed.
- Split - is how it is mostly seen on group video calls where one part of the screen is dedicated to the entire rear-view camera, and the bottom part is dedicated to one's selfie image.
- Single - this is the last mode that turns of the Dual Recording system, and focuses the footage and recording with the rear camera only.
