Apple is offering a massive leeway for employees to get vaccinated and set up their appointments, particularly as the company vows to pay their day off work to receive the COVID-19 vaccine set up as vacation leave. Moreover, employees may also apply for paid sick leaves after getting vaccinated, especially as they encounter symptoms of the vaccine's side effects.

The Cupertino giant is known for supporting the efforts against the global pandemic virus, particularly as it provided face mask and PPE manufacturing last year, as shortages were faced by medical front liners. Moreover, Apple CEO Tim Cook was also encouraging the public and its employees to get vaccinated during the initial arrival of the shots. 

Apple: COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments Get Paid Vacation Days

According to Bloomberg's report, Apple has recently announced that it is offering a paid vacation day off each employee's records if they register for a vaccination appointment in any clinic offering it. Notably, Apple does not have any stocks of the vaccine dosages or owns any vaccination facilities, which is why it encourages employees to seek out external solutions.

Moreover, the report was from Apple insiders and people familiar with the matter within the company that has revealed the company's effort on urging its employees to undergo vaccination against the virus. Additionally, there were also reports regarding Apple incentivizing employees if they get vaccinated against COVID-19. 

The vaccination campaign of the company is centered on having a face-to-face set up back in the company, where employees would return to Apple's facility and offices to "collaborate" and interact. Initially, Tim Cook approved of the remote working setup, but the CEO is now looking to return the company to its normal state, pre-pandemic. 

Apple Reopened Retail Stores But Corporate Remains Remote Work

Apple has reopened its retail stores around the country, operating at limited capacity and still maintaining safety protocols released by health agencies regarding COVID-19 safety. This meant that employees for the Apple Stores are already reporting for work, after more than a year since it closed and ceased operations on March 1. 

According to Mac Rumors, while retail stores have been operating at a limited setup, its corporate offices are still observing the remote work where they are mostly based at home and transacts via the internet. The Apple Campus remains closed up to this day, as it observes COVID-19 safety procedures, but the company aims to reopen by June to maximize its workflow.
