SNK is awaited by its fans and enthusiasts on the release of "The King of Fighters XV," which is the anticipated sequel of the popular action fighting game. Now, it has introduced its new character and fighter known as "Shermie," along with a trailer that shows her first look and the soon-coming gameplay of the fighting title.
The Japanese have given the public several high-grossing fighting games over the past decades, bringing titles such as the "Tekken" franchise from Namco, and "Street Fighter" franchise from CAPCOM. SNK's "The King of Fighters" franchise has been around the same time as these popular titles, as its first game was released in 1994.
The arcade fighting genre has given birth to modern action games including the likes of "Mortal Kombat" and other franchises that have fueled the rage to unleash a gamer's inner beast using strategy and skill. Currently, "The King of Fighters XV," has fourteen characters that have been introduced by SNK, with its most recent, Shermie.

SNK 'The King of Fighters XV' Shermie Trailer Debut
SNK's Official YouTube Channel has recently unveiled its new character for the fifteenth sequel of "The King of Fighters" (KOF) franchise, revealing the world with Shermie, which would be voiced by Japanese actress Erina Sato. According to SNK's official press release, Shermie is the 14th playable character that would be released alongside the massive roster for the next game of the series.
The arcade fighting game from SNK is iconic because of its regular change and debut of new characters in the "tournament," which consists of the majority of the entire lineup for their new releases. "KOF" is also known to bring several crowd favorites from previous iterations of the game to join the adrenaline rush of fighting frenzy.
SNK 'The King of Fighters XV' Confirmed Characters
In the last "The King of Fighters XIV" game, there were a total of 50 characters to join the game, and the current stream of release for its sequel is nowhere near half of the previous game. However, it remains a mystery whether SNK would pool up as many as 50 playable fighters in the "KOF XV," and the identities of other characters remain in secret.
SNK's "The King of Fighters XV' currently has unveiled the identity of a total of 14 characters in the game, and all of them can be viewed for their first-look trailer clips via SNK's Official YouTube Channel.
