"Apex Legends" Mobile is soon launching in the Android platform that would be a beta version from the company as it test outs the way its battle royal would fare and would be releasing it this month. While this may be good news for "Apex Legends" fans, it would see a limited region beta release for India and the Philippines for the time being.

While "Apex Legends" was created by an American video game developer and publisher, the decision for the game to release in other regions is strategic and part of its campaign. The developers have decided to opt out of the United States or North American region for this release, but it did not mention anything about making it exclusive to Asian countries.

Currently, "Apex Legends" is on its eighth season for gamers to enjoy, marking its more than two years since its initial release last February 2019 for the Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One gaming consoles. Its arrival to the more mobile platform of Nintendo Switch has released last 2020, and its upcoming mobile version is slated for 2021.

The battle royale is known for being a free-to-play game from Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts, and this was their take to fill in the popular battle royale genre which rose to prominence in 2018. The release of "Player's Unknown Battlegrounds" or "PUBG" has marked the arrival of 100 players against one, all fending for their survival and claiming superiority above all.

According to a blog post by "Apex Legends" Game Director, Chad Grenier, the company is trying out something new for the battle royale, which would be focusing on the smaller platform of mobile gaming. It would be going up against popular and established games like "PUBG Mobile," and "Call of Duty Mobile."

The company revealed that it is slated to release this month for its first public beta outing on selected players.

However, at the same time as this great news for a mobile experience, Grenier also bears bad news to aspiring players and fans worldwide, as it would be a regional beta release for April 2021. Like Riot Games' "League of Legends Wild Rift," "Apex Legends Mobile" would also focus on several regions before its release, and it would exclude the country for this.

Grenier said that it would be focusing its efforts in India and the Philippines, which are both known to be popular for mobile battle royales such as "PUBG Mobile" and "COD Mobile." Its popularity in the country has focused on platforms like the PC and consoles, so the developers would be playing on strength for this venture.

However, it would not be limited to those countries only, for as soon as the beta elapses, it would come for other regions and the United States are among its inclusions.
