Upon entering this quest, you will be instructed by an old village man to hunt down and kill a boar that is destroying their place. You should be aware that this animal is wild; that's why you need to formulate a good strategy before dealing with it.

Moreover, you are required to complete part one to ace this quest. By finishing it, you are also entitled to advance for part two so more quests will come.

Its location is easy to spot. All you need to do is go quickly to the northern plains. It is just outside the village from the get-go.

Once you enter the plains, you can find a boar below the Forest of Myth's entrance. Specifically, it will be spotted near the huge boulders in the area. It is just past the location where you battle some Shades: the wooden bridge.

'Nier Replicant' Boar Hunt: Killing the Boar

Do not underestimate what the boar can do to you as it can kill you in the early encounters. One powerful tip that you can use is luring it to attack you. Once you set this up, it will hit itself into the boulder which will render it motionless for a while.

Now that you have enough time to maneuver, you can attack it and jump to the boulder. You can use your Grimoire to damage it while preparing for a wild charge so you can hasten the killing, Gamepur reported.

Be mindful that the boar's hp is high; that's why you need to be patient in timing your attacks well. If you fail to prepare for its charge against you, you are setting yourself for high damage.

Besides your Grimoire, you can also use Dark Lance to stun it when it is still waiting for an assault. This could also halt it for a while as you are strategizing and sizing things up.

We could see a new set of free weapons in the future, but for now, let's stick to the conventional method.

Regardless of whether you use your Grimoire and Dark Lance, you still need to parry with your sword. Just remember to use the latter when the boar starts to grunt so you could quickly pounce it with your 50-hit combo to get "Combo Fanatic."

If you are already an expert in flushing your attacks for 100 successive hits, you can now be called the "Combo Master."

'Nier Replicant' Boar Hunt: How to Ride a Boar

Now that you managed to kill the boar, you will receive a boar tusk that works like a conch shell. You can now call a new boar to accompany you on your quest. You can also ride it.

Upon accepting the item, interact with the slain body to get more materials for your future quests. Return after to the village for the quest completion. This will now enable you to ride a boar.

We will find another boar, but this time, we will not kill it. Head to the same location as the Northern Plains. For another option, you can go to the Southern Plains to seek a sleeping boar.

Once you tame it, you can get aboard it. However, this does not exempt you from taking damage, so you can still receive damage while riding it.

To activate the charge, click the dash/evade button so you could race faster. You can also charge the enemies along your way. If you happen to bump into any form of obstacle like a wall, you will be kicked out from your mount.

You can summon your boar regardless of your location. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the menu

  2. Click "Orders."

  3. Select the "Animals"

  4. Tap the "Call."

Once you're done, the boar will now appear next to you, The Gamer reported.

There is also an "All Aboared" reward in the game if you ride on your boar for at least five minutes. Either if you are moving or just sitting on top of it, you can still unlock this achievement.
