In this handout provided by the U.S. Navy, the Republic of Korea destroyers Sejong the Great (DDG 991) and Yang Manchun (DDH 973), the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108), USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) and USS Stethem (DDG 63), the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain (CG 57).

If the new warship is proven to be efficient, the new amphib could a deadly war weapon since the enemies of the U.S. Navy will certainly have a hard time spotting within the commercial ship traffic.

Camouflage is not unusual on the real battlefield. It is still implemented various war tools such as rifles, armors, and more. However, this will be hard to pull on in giant defense innovations, especially in jets, ships, and other vessels.

Aside from this, the military agency also announced that they want this new ship to be as cheap as possible. The U.S. Navy said this will allow them to buy around 36 units of the new amphib vessel.

Once they purchase these ships, they can easily spread them out across the Pacific Ocean.

US Navy Next-Gen Amphib's Features

Since the new ship of the U.S. Navy is planned to be affordable, the United States Marine Corps need to make these new warships smaller than the current models, as reported by Forbes

On the other hand, the next-gen amphibious ship could also have thinner hulls, no armament, as well as fewer flooding and fire countermeasures. Although this is the case, the developers confirmed that this new warship will still have a 30-millimeter gun.

However, its small size will still give it a hard time surviving during wartime. Jay Stefany, the acting acquisition chief of the U.S. Navy, said that the developers need to thoroughly examine the new ship to make some major enhancements that could increase its battle capabilities.

Although this is the case, the next-gen amphib would still have its blending capability, which is a major feature when it comes to sneaking behind enemy lines.

This is just one of the innovations being developed by the U.S. Navy. The other ones include the new Boeing-made drone. On the other hand, other countries are also keeping up with the military agency, include the new KF-X Jet of South Korea

U.S. Navy Tests Gerald R. Ford Carrier

Aside from the upcoming amphib warship, the U.S. Navy also confirmed that it is testing the advanced carrier called Gerald R. Ford Carrier.

According to Defense News' latest report, the military agency fired three in-water blasts near the aircraft carrier. The new shock trial of the U.S. Navy is specifically conducted to prove that the high-end warship could withstand serious missile attacks.
