YouTube has banned but shortly brought back a known extremist group known as "Right Wing Watch" or "RWW Blog" on its platform due to initially violating Community Guidelines. The channel has appealed its case and is currently active on the platform, with all its content accessible to everyone.

Violating the Community Guidelines on a repetitive cycle should earn one the right to either a long-time suspension of the account or even facing a permanent ban on any platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube.

Facing a YouTube ban and coming back from it is a massive achievement for a channel, especially after appealing its case and winning the dispute when it was handed to human moderators. This gives them the notion that they were wrongfully accused of the violations or sanctions that were first given to them, encouraging more of their acts.

This was what happened in the recent case of Right Wing Watch or RWW Blog on YouTube.

The channel brought up their case to their Twitter account Right Wing Watch (@RightWingWatch), where they said they are being censored for exposing "bigoted views" on the platform. YouTube has rejected the initial appeal of the group, and it made the extremist group furious as they cannot express their content and video uploads on the platform.

However, after several more appeals, YouTube has reinstated the channel back on the social networking platform and is now available to be viewed again by the public. Team YouTube said that their ban was a mistake and apologized for the "frustrations" they felt.

Users Were Happy to See Ban of 'Right Wing Watch'

Many users were happy to see the fall of Right Wing Watch's YouTube account get suspended and repeatedly have their appeals rejected by the company. The post of RWW has been flooded by messages saying that they deserve what they initially got and do not deserve the platform they have for the content they have been publishing.

Another user says that these extremists have been pushing that they are actively censored. The "conservatists" have joined these by saying that they are part of the oppression.

The streaming website recently launched a service to detect illegal content and other problematic uploads in the platform with artificial intelligence. Not everything was under human moderation.

Human Rights Group Wants YouTube to Take Down These Channels but Keep Archives

A group called "Human Rights Watch" has appealed to YouTube regarding taking down these kinds of channels but wants an archive of their content to be used for formal investigations. With this, they can take down the groups that uploaded various sensitive content, which is going against people's beliefs.
