"Magic: The Gathering's" upcoming "Dungeons & Dragons" themed set is highly anticipated by fans of the game. The set is called "Adventures in the Forgotten Realms", and the card reveals that it is in full swing.

Now it has been confirmed that one of the most infamous monsters in "Dungeons & Dragons" will be making an appearance on the card set.

Magic: The Gathering's Dungeon & Dragons Theme

According to IGN, the Gelatinous Cube is the monster that was recently included in the upcoming card set. Gelatinous Cube is infamous for its ability to sneak up to low-level adventurers, quickly envelope them, and then disintegrate them.

Now, fans can experience the terror in "Magic: The Gathering," as its signature destructive nature has been translated over in card fashion. This is the latest expansion of "Magic: The Gathering's" multi-dimensional universe.

The card itself and the special Monster Manual-style variant was posted by GamesRadar.

Gelatinous Cube is a rare 4/3 black Ooze monster that costs two colorless and two black mana to cast. The monster also has two new ability words that mimic part of its "Dungeons & Dragons" capabilities: Engulf and Dissolve.

Engulf is the same as the other effects that fans have seen before, allowing players to exile an opposing noon-Ooze creature when Gelatinous Cube enters the battlefield but giving it back when the Cube leaves.

On the other hand, Dissolve is the twist on the mechanic, letting players pay the mana value of the exiled creature to move it from exile to the owner's graveyard.

The capabilities allow players to trap a creature within the Gelatinous Cube where it can be devoured unless the Cube can be dealt with first, according to IGN.

Other Legendary Creatures in the Set

The Gelatinous Cube is not the only fan-favorite creature that will be included in the upcoming set. Criminal kingpin Xanathar is also expected to be included in the set.

Xanathar's ability allows players to look at, steal, and use the top card from the opponent's library. It is the same story for the beholders, and the purple worms are mainstays of "Dungeons & Dragons" books or video games like "Baldur's Gate 3."

The "Magic: The Gathering" comes in different bundles, and if you are a beginner, you can choose four different bundles: Draconic Rage, Dungeons of Death, Planar Portal, and Aura of Courage. Each bundle gets you a 100-card ready-to-play deck with ten double-sided tokens and a reference card.

The bundles will give you everything that you need to play against an opponent. These bundles are useful if you are new to the world of "Magic: The Gathering."

As for the "Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms" card set, it will be released within MTG Arena on July 8, and it will be released physically on July 23, according to Polygon.

What is Magic: The Gathering?

"Magic: The Gathering" is a tabletop and digital collectible card game created by Richard Garfield and was released in 1993.

A player takes the role of a Planeswalker, battling other players as Planeswalkers by casting spells, summoning creatures, and using artifacts as shown on individual cards drawn from their decks.
