"Axie Infinity" is becoming more popular than ever as its Axie or AXS, the token used in this blockchain-based virtual title, was able to increase its value by 66% for the last five days this July.

Sky Mavis released Axie Infinity back in 2018. It is a turn-based RPG game that allows gamers to trade, breed, sell, buy, and battle with numerous cute monsters called axies.

These digital characters are considered as NFTs or Non-Fungible Tokens, which are quite different from regular cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other big names. This means that their value will depend on the sellers' wants.

For the past few days, axies joined the top-selling NFTs in the market after the blockchain-based game acquired around $200,000 worth of sales.

How 'Axie Infinity' Works?

According to ClutchPoint's latest report, "Axie Infinity" offers different kinds of tactical strategies. Since it is a play-to-earn title, many players compared it to the likes of "CrytoKitties" and "Pokemon GO" since they are also relying on digital characters.

You can even compare it to the iconic game "Tamagochi" since you have to feed your axies with different kinds of potions to evolve them.

However, "Axie Infinity" is the only one that could provide you an actual income. This is also the main reason why many players are now suggesting the rising game to their friends and relatives.

On the other hand, the first part of the game will require you to have three axies. After that, gamers can improve their digital pets in the Adventure Mode or PVE of the game.

They can reach different levels called "Ruins" and acquire the so-called Smooth Love Potions or SLP in this mode. Each level will offer you different amounts of SLP. You can either get 1 SLP or up to 20 SLP.

When it comes to the Arean Mode (PVP) of the game, players can battle against each other and gain MMR or Matchmaking Rating. They can also receive up to 12 SLP if they win the match. However, the number of SLP will still depend on your MMR.

Aside from PVP and PVE, players can also acquire SLP through Daily Quests and unlocking different Adventure Mode levels. Remember, SLP is important to evolve your axies so that you can sell them at a high price.

Giant Cryptocurrencies are Struggling

Forbes reported that smaller digital currencies, including Axie, are rising as of the moment. On the other hand, Dogecoin, Bitcoin, Ether, and other giant cryptocurrencies are facing the opposite fate as they struggle in the market. 

Specifically, Ether has been down by 9.91% after it outperformed Bitcoin. The difference gap from its recent value is not that wide. As of the moment, the best thing is to wait for their announcements.
