Yuichi Ishizuka has been involved with the company for 40 years now and although it took a while before he finally became an iconic face behind the company's success, his name is referenced close to Canon's recent accomplishments because of what he's done for the company. Yuichi Ishizuka Canon CEO
According to CEOTodayMagazine, Mr. Ishizuka started his career at Canon Inc. in Japan back in 1981, where he started working in the Camera Division. Back in 1983, Mr. Ishizuka joined Canon USA, but was then soon transferred back in 1988 to Canon Canada where he became the Product and Marketing Manager of the Camera, Video, as well as the Still Video department.
Mr. Ishizuka returned back to Canon USA in 1993 where he spent two years in the Product Control Division before he was then promoted to the Marketing Manager of Canon USA's Camera Division. Back in 1997, he then decided to go back to Canon Inc. for just a year. Canon introduced Spaces Extension in the CES 2021.
Canon CEO 1999 to 2012
He returned to America in 1999 in order to start as Assistant Director to Canon USA's Digital Camera Division. After a number of promotions within the Consumer Imaging Division, Yuichi Ishizuka was then promoted in 2007 to become Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Consumer Imaging Group.
The Consumer Imaging Group is now known as the Imaging Technologies & Communications Group and back in January of 2010, he was promoted to Executive Vice President and General Manager. Come April of 2012, he was then officially appointed as an Executive Officer in Canon Inc. In 2014, he became the Managing Executive Officer.
Mr. Ishizuka Becomes Senior Executive Officer
Some time in 2021, Mr. Ishizuka was appointed Senior Executive Officer of Japan's Canon Inc. Ishizuka, who is also a Managing Executive Officer of Canon Inc., is also tasked with bolstering as well as growing the existing core businesses while capitalizing on the brand's own imaging expertise in different new areas like NVS, industrial equipment, and also commercial printing.
According to Canon's post, Ishizuka gives a few words regarding his work with the company. His statement starts off noting that Canon is really a clear leader when it comes to the consumer and business imaging with millions of customers throughout the whole EMEA.

This was notably a region where they celebrated their 60th anniversary of operations in the past. Yuichi Ishizuka noted that he is honoured to be leading the team through the whole next phase of growth and innovation at what is noted to be a very exciting and dynamic time for the company.
