The COVID-19 Exposure Notifications sees less usage from the public despite the surge of the Omicron variant in the country. The initial launch of the feature brings information to all, especially as it warns people of a place where a COVID positive entered or was initially staying. The feature helps people avoid these places or notify them of an area to observe extra care when visiting.

Commuters wearing face masks make their way to work on March 26, 2020 in Tokyo, Japan. Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike held a press conference last night to request citizens to refrain from going outside this weekend for nonessential reasons after 41 cases of new coronavirus infections were confirmed yesterday.

The Washinton Post's report stated that COVID exposure notifications became less used during these times, despite the surge of the Omicron variant. The deadliest strain of COVID now should be the one that people should closely monitor, but it sees the less usage of the free service.

COVID-19 is still a disease that plagues the entire world because of its infectious virus that results in grave consequences and deaths.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the exposure notifications and apps help let a person know positive cases in the vicinity. It also updates people if they came across a COVID-19 positive patient or those infected with the virus.

Do you need the COVID Exposure Notifications Now?

People still need the COVID Exposure Notifications now, and it helps avoid places or blend in with a crowd with the virus.

Remember that the virus remains unseen, and it can enter the body in the different openings it has, especially when the mouth and nose do not have protective covers.

Turning it on and simply getting a notification is not a massive change in one's lifestyle or device.

Is the COVID Exposure Notification Helpful?

Nothing is wrong with free and solicited advice from a friend that aims to help, right? That is the same goal of the COVID-19 exposure notifications when it was first released to the public, primarily as health officials aim to avoid the virus' transmission when the pandemic was at its peak.

Early 2020 saw the first versions of the exposure notifications when they arrived on iOS as a beta feature.

However, as restrictions got loose and people received immunity from the vaccines, the famous health feature became a thing of the past. The feature remains essential for some but not that relevant to many.

The COVID exposure notifs are still helpful, even more, this time as the Omicron variant began its spread of chaos and highly infectious diseases that threaten the public's health.

There are threats to the COVID-19 exposure notifications, and this revolves around cybersecurity and the bugs it has on its initial releases that compromise the data and information of its users. Nevertheless, once it gets a fix from officials, it remains an app needed during these times.
