For this week, we will discuss the genius man behind Adobe. Meet the man from India, Shantanu Narayen, and find out how he transformed this company into a huge brand in the field of the tech business.

The Hardworking Man Behind Adobe

You might have already encountered the word "Adobe," especially when you are assigned to edit an image through the Photoshop application. You might already know Adobe InDesign, but you don't have any idea about its creative head.

If you are curious about these things, Tech Times wants you first to know Narayen, the CEO of Adobe, who has been shifting schedules due to the nature of his work. Surprisingly, only a few knew how he adjusted his sleep to meet his rendezvous on time.

For someone who has been leading a company amid tight competition, Narayen is always one step ahead of the decision for the company's welfare and its management.

Being an Indian national instilled a notion that you should always be a techie kind-of-guy, and Narayen proved it all the way. After joining Adobe in 1998, he managed to get a good hold of his position. Nine years later, after entering the company, he was promoted to CEO.

Narayen Before Making Waves at Adobe

Previously, he spent his tenure at Apple as a product developer. In addition, he was one of the co-founders of Pictra. For those who do not know it, this was a startup focused on photo-sharing.

Another important breakthrough that he has accomplished was in 2011 when former President Barack Obama appointed him. He was assigned to the Management Advisory Board in the White House.

Tracing his Indian roots, Narayen was born and raised in India, specifically in Hyderabad. To look for a greener pasture, he decided to go to the US. He finished his master's degree at Bowling Green State University eventually.

Narayen's Life Outside Adobe

Like any other person, Narayen is enjoying some of his time outside working. Although he was popular to be an all-rounder of Silicon Valley, he has so much to treasure beyond that.

According to the CEO Magazine, he sometimes stays late to watch the Indian cricket team. So much for that, the Global Indian of 2018 also spent a lot of time helping the poor children who go to school. He guided them by giving free software to the students.

With that, Narayen said that digital literacy provides people with "ample opportunities" that will make their lives better. He also said that helping others is his own way of giving back to the society where he started.

If he did not become a tech CEO, Narayen could have been a doctor. However, he was afraid when he saw blood.

Aside from finishing his computer science master's degree at Bowling Green, he also graduated from the University of California with a Master of Business Administration.

Narayen only wanted the technology to be Adobe's stronghold. Through AI innovation, he wanted to put the company on top. Aside from that, he succeeded in increasing the market cap of Adobe to $297 billion in 2021 from $11 billion in 2008.
