TikTok Green Goddess Salad

Although TikTok is filled with entertaining and sometimes dangerous challenges, this Green Goddess Salad trend is nothing but helpful for those who want to achieve a healthier eating lifestyle.

The Green Goddess Salad blew up to fame on TikTok, amassing more than 20 million views as of writing.

Not to mention that the viral video by Melissa Ben-Ishay also got more than a million likes on the social media platform. The trending salad has received over 10,000 comments since it was posted.

As per a news story by Hello Yummy, the Green Goddess Salad is not something that was completely discovered from TikTok. In fact, this salad dressing name has existed for years already.

However, unlike the traditional Green Goddess Salad dressing, the version that was featured on the viral TikTok content changed how it is done altogether. So, it appears that it only carried the same name.

TikTok Green Goddess Salad Ingredients

The original version of the salad dressing includes anchovies, tarragon, sour cream, mayo, pepper, and lemon juice.

On the other hand, the TikTok version of the dressing by Ben-Ishay showcases a different set of ingredients. It contains various greens, such as spinach and basil.

In addition, it also includes rice vinegar, olive oil, chives, lemon juice, cashews, walnuts, garlic, nutritional yeast, and shallot.

Meanwhile, the base of the viral version of the Green Goddess Salad is made of green onions, cucumbers, and cabbage, all of which are persistently thinly chopped.

TikTok Green Goddess Salad: How to Make One

Now that we have the ingredients out of the way, here's how to create TikTok's Green Goddess yourself.

According to a report by USA Today, the first and crucial step is the thin slices of green onions, cucumbers, and cabbage.

To achieve it, it is worth noting that you'll need to have a sharp knife similar to what most chefs typically use. It comes as it needs to be thinly sliced.

After cutting the three into tiny bits, it is time to work on the salad dressing, which contains a mouthful of ingredients.

Then, place the dressing components into a high-quality blender or a food processor. It is interesting to point out that if you don't have either of the two, you'll have to forget about this recipe or buy one yourself.

That's it, your own version of TikTok's Green Goddess Salad should be ready to serve after blending them.
