Changing Twitch Username

Change Your Twitch Username on Desktop

To change your username on Twitch via Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook, you can use the Twitch website or the desktop app. Both of them have the same interface, so there are a couple of steps that you need to follow, according to Business Insider.

Launch Twitch on your computer and sign in to your account. In the top-right corner, click your profile icon and click on Settings. On the Settings page, at the top, click Profile.

In the Profile tab, scroll down to the Profile Settings section. To change your username, click the pencil icon right next to your username.

You will see a change username box. Just click the Username field and type in the new username that you want. Click Update once you are done.

If you wish to change your Twitch display name, click Display Name and type a new name. This can only be the capitalized or non-capitalized version of your username, according to Dote Sports. 

To save your settings, click on Profile Settings at the bottom of the screen and click Save Changes.

Change Your Twitch Username on Mobile

If you wish to use the mobile version of the platform to change your username, you can do so. On your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone, open the Twitch app. In the top-left corner, tap your profile icon.

On the Account page, just tap Account Settings, next tap Account. Once you are done, just tap on Edit Profile.

Change your username and tap the Username field. To change your display name, just tap the Display Name field. Under the Change Your Username section, tap Change Username.

You can enter your new Twitch username on the field. Save your changes by tapping Save. You should be able to see your new username.

If you changed your username on the mobile app, you can still see the changes on the desktop version, and vice versa. Also, you won't have to worry about your Twitch password because it will remain the same unless you change it.
