Calls to European numbers have been quite expensive, but with Google Voice, the price of these calls is expected to drop from about $0.01 per minute to $10-$30 per month. To add, Google has just announced Voice calls changes made to European mobile and landline numbers.

Google Voice Licenses for European Numbers

According to the story by AndroidCentral, calls towards European numbers are now included in users' Google Voice licenses. Domestic and international rates were applied to these types of calls in the past.

Google is coming out with a "sweet offer" for customers of Google Voice that are frequently trying to call European numbers for both landline and mobile. Trying to connect with someone coming from countries in Europe with Google Voice now reportedly costs less.

Changes to Google Voice Started on February 8

Google reportedly announced that Google Voice licenses currently cover calls between a number of European numbers. February 8 marked the latest change that happened to Google Voice, and with that change, rates for domestic and international calls no longer apply.

As per the company blog post, the changes will ultimately cut the cost of users staying connected with partners, colleagues, and even customers distributed around Europe. In addition, the upcoming feature is expected to be available for all users that have European phone numbers.

Current Costs in the UK for Landline Calls Sit at $0.01 per Minute

The exception for the feature, however, is domains that have disabled paid calls. In the past, landline and mobile calls in Europe were reportedly being charged by the Minute. An example of this is the costs of landline calls in the United Kingdom, which could cost $0.01 a minute.

As per AndroidCentral, the newest changes mean that users will be able to make calls towards domestic and international numbers without needing to pay extra on top of the users' Voice plan. The plans included in the newest update stretch from starter, standard, or premier.

Premier Plan for Google Voice Costs $30 Per Month

As of the moment, the most affordable plan on Google Voice starts at the price of $10 per month. However, the number of users and locations is only limited to just 10 without the inclusion of international calls.

In order for users to get the most out of their plan, they would have to pay for the premier plan costing $30, which includes an "unlimited number of users and locations." In addition, Google Voice is considered one of the best alternatives to Skype, which offers more affordable rates in order for users to make and receive international calls.

One thing that makes the new offering of better value, as per AndroidCentral, is the fact that it allows users to make calls without a charge in the United States and Canada. With that, the addition of Google Voice's new premier plan allows users to make domestic and international calls for a fixed monthly price.
