The virtual veterinarian care platform called "Dutch" raised million-dollar funding.

The San Franciso-based animal healthcare company specifically received $20 million after the successful Series A funding, led by Eclipse Ventures and Forerunner Ventures.

Dutch was first launched back in July 2021. It was specifically designed to help pet parents take care of their furry babies.

Founded by Joe Spector, the CEO launched the veterinary care platform based on personal experience.

According to Tech Crunch's latest report, the virtual vet platform was created by Spector after he saw that his brother's dog was left untreated.

He added that many pet owners tend to disregard the small illnesses their cats or dogs are experiencing. They tend to wait until the sickness becomes serious to only pay one fee.

But, Dutch's CEO explained that this should not be the scenario for the pet parents.

"Like tens of millions of other Americans, my wife and I got a pandemic puppy," said Spector.

Ever since Dutch was launched, Joe and his team were able to serve more than 25,000 pets, thanks to the help of 100 licensed veterinarians. Now, since it has more budget, this number can further increase.

What Dutch Offers

If you visit Dutch's official website, you will see different offers that can suit your needs.

There's an unlimited video chat in the first section that will help you meet your pets' daily needs. This service only costs $15 per month.

On the other hand, Dutch licensed veterinarians are also specialized in solving various sicknesses that your furry babies suffer from.

These include tremors or shivering, red or inflamed skin, hair loss, anxiety, vomiting, and diarrhea, as well as other serious illnesses.
