Twitter's Tips, a new feature that allows consumers to send cryptocurrencies to other users, recently received ETH support.

The giant social media platform confirmed this detail via its official Twitter Support account.

"We've added Paga, Barter by Flutterwave, Paytm, and the option to add your Ethereum address," said the company.

Twitter is just one of the companies now embracing the rising blockchain industry. The new Tips feature arrived during the time of CEO Parag Agrawal.

However, if Dorsey remained CEO, he would support BTC (Bitcoin) instead of Ethereum. The ex-CEO shows his loyalty towards Bitcoin publicly.

On the other hand, he explained why he doesn't really accept ETH. On December 23, 2021, he posted a tweet explaining his side.

He said that he is not actually against ETH. However, the former chief executive officer added that he is anti-centralized.

Twitter Tips' Details

On the other hand, Twitter also explained why it launched the new Tips feature. The social media giant said that this innovation is designed for Twitter Spaces.

The company added that there are times were listeners are entertained or educated by the speakers in Twitter Spaces. With the arrival of the Tips feature, they can now support their favorite speakers or influencers by giving them cryptocurrency tips.
