Facebook Gaming seems to be not as efficient as Meta's alternative for Twitch. Right now, the streaming platform of Amazon Inc. is still one of the main tools used by popular gaming streamers.

Since gaming streaming provides great revenues, Mark Zuckerberg's company decided to launch its own platform for various games. Meta launched Facebook Gaming back in 2018 to compete against Twitch.

Just like in Amazon's streaming platform, online influencers in Facebook Gaming can share their favorite games while narrating their experience.

According to Bloomberg's latest report, Facebook Gaming is now infested by fake gaming streamers. Various users shared their negative experiences when watching and streaming games themselves on the platform.

"We have more and more fake streamers and less and less real streamers," said Daniel Popa, a Facebook Gaming consumer interviewed by Bloomberg.

The issue with Facebook Gaming shows that Meta is now struggling to attract new consumers, as well as maintain its social media site's users.

Back in 2021 Q1, Facebook lost a lot of daily users. Because of this, its market value decreased by one-third. Right now, Mark Zuckerberg and his team are trying to win back people. One of their latest efforts is Facebook Reels, which is a feature similar to TikTok.

Videos Not About Gaming Content are Increasing

LiveMint reported another issue with Facebook Gaming. Aside from fake gaming streamers, the giant platform now showcases videos that don't contain video games at all.

One of the top content in the streaming platform contains chiropractic videos, as well as some double-decker airplanes.

Aside from them, other weird videos are also seen in Meta's gaming platform. Live streams about diet pills and foot callus removal kits are also trending on Facebook Gaming.

What makes them unusual is that they are using captions, such as "Playing Grand Theft Auto V," "League of Legends Highlights," and other unrelated gaming captions.

In other news, Russia partially blocks Meta's Facebook Fact Check. Meanwhile, Meta researchers claimed that Facebook and other online platforms make people lonely.
