'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection'

As per a news story by IGN, Konami announced the new "Cowabunga Collection" during the March State of Play event of Sony. The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles compilation is coming to various gaming platforms, such as PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series X/S. It is also coming out this year to the Nintendo Switch and PC.

The massive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Collection is made possible by Konami, along with both Digital Eclipse and Nickelodeon.

The wide-ranging compilation of classical Ninja Turtles games included some from iconic consoles, such as the Nintendo Entertainment System or NES, the Game Boy, Genesis, and Super NES.

The classical Ninja Turtle games have been tweaked for the modern gaming platforms of Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo by incorporating HD textures to the overall graphics of the game.

On top of that, the new Cowabunga Collection also brings a modern flair to the classical gaming tiles, such as the rewind and save functionalities.

What's more, some of the games in the massive collection even have local and online playing options. Plus, other titles now have additional modes, including Boss Rush.

'The Cowabunga Collection' Games

The collection includes games from the 8-bit gaming console, the NES, namely, the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "TMNT II: The Arcade Game," "TMNT III: The Manhattan Project," and "TMNT: Tournament Fighters."

There are also titles from Nintendo's Game Boy, such as "TMNT: Fall of the Foot Clan," "TMNT II: Back from the Sewers," and "TMNT: Radical Rescue."

Meanwhile, there are two SNES games on the Cowabunga Collection, including "TMNT IV: Turtles in Time," and "TMNT: Tournament Fighters."

In addition to that, there are Arcade and Genesis titles as well, namely "TMNT: Tournament Fighters," "TMNT: The Hyperstone Heist," as well as "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Arcade," and "TMNT: Turtles in Time."

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection' Release Date

According to a recent report by The Verge, Konami has yet to announce the specific release date of the 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection."

However, what is only confirmed for now is that it will be released on various gaming platforms, such as Steam, Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation, sometime this 2022.
