"Call of Duty: Warzone" is coming to mobile phone devices. Activision announced that it is looking for developers to make the new version of the battle royale gaming title possible.

'Call of Duty: Warzone' Mobile

As per a news story by The Verge, the mobile version of "Call of Duty: Warzone" is still in the early stages of the project. Thus, there are still no screenshots or video teasers of the game. And, in fact, Activision is still recruiting devs that would start working on it.

Despite that, Activision went on to announce that the mobile version of "Warzone" is coming.

The game publisher of the hit battle royale franchise said that they "are creating an all-new, AAA, mobile experience that will bring the thrilling, fuel and larger-scale action of 'Call of Duty: Warzone' to players on the go."

That said, Activision also did not mention any estimated release date of the mobile version of the sought-after battle royale gaming title.

On top of that, The Verge noted in the same report that Activision also has yet to announce the format of the game, whether it supports cross-play like 'Fortnite' or it works like PUBG Mobile.

Activision and Mobile Gaming

It is worth noting that Activision is not new in the lucrative world of mobile gaming. In fact, the American game publisher already has a mobile version of "Call of Duty," wherein it collaborated with TiMi Studios of the China-based firm, Tencent.

Not to mention that Activision Blizzard also owns that iconic puzzle gaming title on mobile devices, Candy Crush.

According to a recent report by VentureBeat, both "Call of Duty: Warzone" and "Call of Duty: Mobile" are massively successful stints of Activision.

"Warzone" alone has more than 100 million players, while "Call of Duty: Mobile" surpasses it with 500 million users.

What's more, The Verge noted in the same report, citing data from Sensor Tower, that the total spending of players in "Call of Duty: Mobile" has already reached a staggering $1.5 billion.

Activision Recruits 'Warzone' Mobile Devs

The American gaming firm is currently looking for a huge pool of developers to work on the mobile version of "Warzone."

Activision is looking for numerous programmers for the game, such as Network Programmers, UI Programmers, and System Programmers.

The firm is also recruiting UI Artists, as well as a Producer, Associate Producer, and Senior Producer. Not to mention that it is also looking for a Product Manager and a Senior Product Manager.
