The news outlet noted that the Cupertino-based tech giant is known for sporting the thinnest possible version of its devices-from its MacBooks to iPhones, not to mention its iPad tablets.

However, this time around, the thin build of the iPad Air might have ended up creating an issue for the new Apple tablet, which its users are now complaining about.

The iPad Air 5th generation is the latest version of the tablet series of Apple, which the tech giant recently debuted at its Peek Performance event on March 8. The same event also introduced the new entry-level iPhone SE 3 and the first-ever Mac Studio and Studio Display.

CUPERTINO, CA - OCTOBER 16: An attendee inspects new iPad Air 2 during an Apple special event on October 16, 2014 in Cupertino, California. Apple unveiled the new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 tablets and the iMac with 5K retina display.

The first post on the thread is from a user of two units of the iPad Air 5th generation released this year, noting that the "aluminum backplate is a lot thinner than on the iPad 4."

The customer also claims that the battery of the iPad Air could almost be felt from its thin aluminum back. On top of that, the Reddit user said that both the new iPad Air 2022 were creating creaking noise when they are being held.

The same iPad Air users went on to say that the previous generation of the Apple tablet did not have the said build quality issue.

Another Reddit poster said that the same issue also exists on the user's blue iPad Air, noting that the build of the new tablet "feels very low quality."

However, there were other iPad Air users in the thread that have come out to say that their new tablet did not have the same issues with the build quality.

Apple has yet to issue any statements regarding the complaints of some iPad Air users.
