OnePlus released OxygenOS Android 12 stable update to some of its flagship smartphones, such as the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T, and the OnePlus 9R.

OnePlus OxygenOS 12 Update on 8, 8 Pro, 8T, 9R

As per a news story by GizmoChina, OnePlus is now bringing the stable version of its Oxygen OS 12, which comes with Android 12, to its older smartphones, the 8, 8 Pro, 8T, and the 9R.

Previously these devices only sported the beta version of the OxygenOS 12, but the stable version for these phones is now available to their users.

The Chinese phone maker previously released the stable OxygenOS 12 to its latest flagship devices, namely the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro, debuting its Android 12-based operating system.

This time around, though, the China-based phone manufacturer is bringing the latest stable update of Oxygen OS to its 2021-release smartphones, bringing numerous new features and performance fixes to its older devices.

It is worth noting that the OxygenOS 12 is also coming to other older devices of OnePlus, such as the 7 and 7T mobile devices. However, both phones have yet to get a stable update, which will be their last OS update.

OxygenOS 12: What's New

As mentioned earlier, the phone maker introduces tons of new features OnePlus the stable version of OxygenOS 12, which is based on the latest Android update.

According to the recent report by GSM Arena, the new Android 12-based Oxygen OS comes with a couple of system feature changes.

The new update fixes the unresponsive screen issues during notification popups. On top of that, the new OxygenOS also optimized the UI icons, along with an improved look.

One of the notable features of the recent version of OxygenOS 12 is the introduction of the new dark mode, which gives users up to three options, giving them a more customizable smartphone experience.

What's more, there is also a new feature that goes by the name "Work Life Balance," allowing its users to switch between two modes, namely Work and Life. It provides various customization options to choose from the two varying profiles.

It also comes with other connectivity fixes for both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, specifically for wireless earphones.
