OnePlus has really not had that much success with its OnePlus Watch. However, unlike most companies, the company may be trying again but this time with its Nord brand. 

It has been reported that a potential Nord-branded smartwatch could happen sometime during the second half of this year.

OnePlus Rumors Indicate Potential Smartwatch Drop with Nord Brand

According to the story by Android Police, the company has notably been releasing smartphones with decent specs within the mid-range pricing. OnePlus Nord is known for its decent specs within the mid-range price points. 

In fact, the Android Police report describes OnePlus smartphones as having "solid price-to-performance ratios."

The rumor mill has been developing new juicy insights pointing towards potential wireless earbuds as part of Nord's expansion. In fact, another leak is saying that its Nord lineup is potentially looking into Nord-branded smartwatches as well.

Rumors Point to Nord Smartwatches Launching During 2nd Half of This Year

If the rumors are true, it can mean that the company is already working on the potentially upcoming wearables. According to 91Mobiles and Yogesh Brar, the company is reportedly launching its Nord 3 along with a new smartwatch in the second half of this year.

When looking at the 150W fast charging and other iconic specs of the Nord 2, a lot of expectations are now banking on the Nord 3 to be faster and more powerful.

Although not a lot of details have been confirmed as of press time, the expectations for its price is that Nord may be selling its rumored wearables for around $105.

Nord Smartwatches Could be More Affordable Than the OnePlus Watch

This potentially means that the rumored Nord watch could be more affordable than the $180 plus OnePlus Watch.

With all the details that have been leaked so far, it can be assumed that the Nord watches will most likely not be sporting the Wear OS. Instead, it is highly likely that they will support the LiteOS.

The bad news is that this could mean that owners will not get third-party app support and also no access to the Google Play Store. When compared to other wearables within its price range, the smartwatch is expected to also have a few other common features.

• Activity tracking

• Music control

Other Markets OnePlus is Looking Into

These features, according to Android Police, is already common in other smartwatches within the same price range. Although not a lot of success was gained from OnePlus' wearable lineup, the company seems to still be pursuing it.

Aside from smartphones, OnePlus has also been looking into other products as well. OnePlus is not just known for its price-efficienct smartphones. In fact, other markets like smart TVs, neckbands, and wireless earbuds are also within the scope of the company as well.
