Samsung's M8 Smart Monitor

As per a news story by SamMobile, the Smart Monitor M8 of the Samsung has already been released in South Korea last March 8, showcasing what consumers could expect from the latest display offering of the tech giant.

Meanwhile, in other parts of the world other than Korea, the Samsung Smart Monitor has yet to officially launch, but the tech giant has already released more details about it.

According to a recent report by 9to5Toys, Samsung released more details regarding its new 32-inch Smart Monitor ahead of its launch in the United States.

It is worth noting that the upcoming Samsung Smart Monitor first saw the light of day during the CES 2022 event. During that time, though, the South Korean tech giant has yet to unveil its specs and other information about it.

Samsung's M8 Smart Monitor: What to Expect

However, this time around, Samsung showcased what consumers should expect from its upcoming Smart Monitor-even before it officially launches in the US.

The 32-inch display supports up to 4K or 3,840 x 2,160 resolution, giving it a 16:9 aspect ratio. It also comes with a High Dynamic Range or HDR10+.

Meanwhile, its brightness goes up to 400 nits with a minimum of 300 nits. For its refresh rate, it only rocks a maximum of 60Hz.

Samsung M8 Monitor: Smart Features

The new display of Samsung, which it dubs as a Smart Monitor, comes with a built-in feature that makes it function on its own without the need to connect a computer to it.

The M8 Smart Monitor sports an onboard chip, which performs light tasks like streaming shows and movies on Netflix or other similar services.

Not to mention that it also lets its users work on documents using Google Docs, as well as join video meetings on Google Duo, along with other platforms.

What's more, Samsung appears to be attracting Apple users as its new Smart Monitor comes with AirPlay 2, allowing devices of the Cupertino giant to cast their screens on the upcoming M8 display.

Samsung M8 iMac-like Colors

That's not all, one of the highlights of the Samsung M8 is its four color options, which look similar to the offering of Apple for its new M1 iMac models.

It comes with a white color option, as well as other hues like blue, pink, and green.
