As spotted by Xbox Series X Stock Alerts on Twitter, GameStop is now selling a new wave of restocks in the bundle version. This means that buyers can only purchase the console in a bundle and not individually.

Although this could be advantageous for some, others might not be too happy with all of the inclusions of the console. As seen on GameStop, the bundle came with the Xbox Series X, a $100 Gamestop gift card, and three months of Ultimate Game Pass membership.

When Will the Global Chip Shortage End?

Although some would be okay with this deal, the bundle is selling for $644.98, which is more than its supposed $499 SRP. This could be a problem for some that aim to purchase the console strictly at its SRP.

Due to the global chip shortage, the supply of the Xbox Series X could remain a problem for gamers still trying to purchase the console at a fair price and not from scalpers. As per a report by Windows Central, Yole Development Economist Guillaume Assogba estimates that the end of the global chip shortage could happen "by the end of 2022."

Estimations Suggest a Delay in Recovery Due to the Invasion of Ukraine

As explained by Assogba, this is due to the tech manufacturers still being able to keep relations with chipmakers throughout the whole pandemic. As per an article by Wired, however, due to the recent invasion of Ukraine, the global chip shortage could continue even further.

With the adjustment of supply chains and the ever-strong demand for electronics, gaming is just one sector that has been affected by the global chip shortage. Due to the limited supply of semiconductors, other technologies have also been affected, including the auto industry.

Potential Ways to Increase Chances of Buying the Xbox Series X Restock Online

As of the moment, when it comes to purchasing the Xbox Series X, buyers can make sure they have accounted for online retailers that often sell the console. These include online retailers like GameStop, Best Buy, Walmart, and Amazon.

As also suggested in the thread, following online restock tracker Twitter accounts also helps buyers increase their chances of purchasing the console. This is through notifications being given by these accounts allowing them to act as fast as possible in order to place an order for the Xbox Series X restock or even the PS5 restock.

Despite having memberships and accounts, this is still not an assurance that buyers will be able to purchase the console due to scalpers and the increased competition from other buyers.
