Apple is gearing up with its Apple Watch releases for 2022, and so does Google with an alleged Pixel Watch and the Fitbit with the Wear OS, alongside Samsung's take on the new Galaxy Watch.
2022 Smartwatch Releases: Expectations from Big Tech Companies
Apple and the Apple Watch
The Apple Watch Series 8 with the watchOS 9 is the top expectation from Apple that will arrive this year, and it is the next-in-line smartwatch from the Cupertino giant for their next release. There has been an outline of Apple's health app for this year, and it talked about the many features coming to the Apple Watch Series 8 for its next release.
However, it is not yet sure that it will feature the Blood Pressure Monitor, unlike the other brands on this list.
Nevertheless, the smartwatch is coming as a better device than its previous release.
Another speculation for Apple is the Apple Watch Explorer Edition, coming from a report by Bloomberg from last year. It will be the rugged design of the Apple Watch that may feature better water resistance and dust covers and a more robust surface for extreme activities.
Another leak also talked about the Apple Watch SE 2 to feature the budget smartwatch from Apple.

Google Pixel is planning to expand its technology from smartphones and Bluetooth earphones to a tech wearable called the Pixel Watch. It will be a device that can integrate itself into the smartphone and be an accessory specifically for the Pixel phones, something like what Apple and Samsung offer in their releases.
Moreover, a new Fitbit is coming this year, and there are talks that it will already feature the Wear OS from Google and Samsung that it made for the smartwatches that connect to Android devices. It is known that Samsung uses the Wear OS for its Galaxy Watches, and it may be high time for Fitbit to adopt the operating system for better smartphone integration.
It is unknown which watches are getting the Wear OS on Fitbit's collection.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 with the latest Wear OS is allegedly coming this year. And is with the regular update of the Galaxy Watch, users and leakers think that a new one will be released from Samsung this 2022.
